Graduation Requirement

All the degrees are conferred by the President on the recommendation of the Academic Council. Such recommendation of the Academic Council is based not only on fulfillment of the minimum of the course requirements but also the quality and coherence of the studentís program as a whole including assessment reviews with faculty. She/he must have evidence to the satisfaction of the faculty, solidarity of Christian character, ability and commitment to the purpose of the Seminary.

 

Further, the degree will not be conferred unless all financial obligations to the Seminary have been cleared. Having successfully completed the following requirements students will be awarded the Diploma in Theology and degrees of Bachelor of Theology, Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Missiology and Master of Theology.
1.†Diploma in Theology
a) Successful completion of 24 subjects (72 credits hours).
b) Having maintained a minimum point of 55% in aggregate.

 

2. Bachelor of Theology
a) Successful completion of 42 subjects (120 credit hours).
b) Having maintained a minimum percentage of 55% in aggregate.
c) He or she must pass a comprehensive exam both in oral and written which will be conducted three weeks prior to graduation.

 

3.†Master of Arts in Missiology
a) A successful completion of 28 subjects without language for Theological Bachelor degree holder with 2nd†††† class and 36 subjects (105 credit hours) for non-theological graduate or B.Th. with 3rdclass.
b)† Maintained minimum grade points of 55% in aggregate.
c) Must pass a comprehensive exam both oral and written which will be conducted three weeks prior to ††††† graduation.
d) Thesis of a minimum of 15,000 words on the selected topic approved by the FacultyCouncil which demonstrated competency, scholarship and originality is required.

 

4.†Master of Divinity
a)† A successful completion of 28 subjects (70 credit hours)for Theological Bachelor degree holder with 2nd††††††††††† class/36 subjects (105 credit hours) for non-theology graduates or B.Th. with 3rd†class.
b)† Maintained minimum grade points of 55% in aggregate.
c) Must pass a comprehensive exam botoral and written which will be conducted three weeks prior to graduation.
d) Thesis of minimum of 15,000 words on the selected topic approved by the Faculty Council which demonstrated competency, scholarship and originality is required.

 

5. Master of Theology
A Student must complete the following requirements in order to earn the Master of Theology degree.

a) Complete 70 credit hours with minimum 2nd Class/Grade.
b) Research and write a 25,000 words competent thesis on an approved subject that gives evidence of a studentís ability to do creative thinking and independent research work.
c) Successfully pass a major comprehensive exam in the area of specialization and viva voce of a studentís thesis.
d) Clear all financial obligations to the Seminary.
